WHAT:
The Lights of Hope: Santa Run 5K is a festive, family-friendly holiday event presented by Merced Cancer Society Foundation and co-sponsored by Merced College for Kids. Participants will dress as Santas and elves while running a Christmas-themed track, enjoying hot chocolate, apple cider, and food vendors — all while raising vital funds to support disadvantaged families affected by cancer.

WHO:

• Hundreds of local participants and families
• Over 50 volunteers and community partners
• Representatives from Merced College and MCSF/El Portal Comprehensive Cancer Centers

WHY:
Funds raised will directly support cancer patients and their families in Merced County, especially those who are economically disadvantaged. The event unites the community in celebration, fitness, and compassion during the holiday season.
